
The series effectively mixes comedy and drama in its focus on the activities of its cast on and off the job as police officers such as dealing with Strike Man's antics and some serious crime threats. For the most part, episodes of this TV series are episodic with the occasional two to three episode arcs in later episodes. This TV season introduces some new characters that become prominent throughout the show's run such as transvestite officer Aoi Futaba and the bizarre crime-fighting vigilante Strike Man.
